A: The first step to securing a spot for your child at Jennifer's Infant and Child Care is to set up an enrollment interview and home tour. At the interview, you will be provided with an enrollment packet containing all of the forms and policies. I will be happy to walk you through the packet and answer any questions that you still have.
Q: Do you require enrolled children to have immunizations?
A: Yes, all children are required to have up-to-date immunization records on file at the time of enrollment.
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: Yes, we have a dog, Bear. He is up to date on all of his shots. Although Bear is out to play with Maya and Zane in the evenings, he will be kenneled while daycare kids are in the house.
Q: Do you have a pool?
A: No, we do not have a pool or any other type of water hazards on the property.
Q: Is Jennifer's Infant and Child Care a non-smoking facility?
A: Yes, our house is smoke-free. There is no smoking allowed in the home or on the property at any time.
Q: What can I expect from you? A: First and foremost, I am focused on early childhood care and education. I strive to set myself apart from typical home daycares through the use of appropriate curriculum, high quality facilities, and nutritious meals and snacks (provided.) I will be able to give your child the one-on-one attention they deserve because I keep a very low ratio. With my direction, your child will be given opportunities to explore the world around him or her through educational play, simple science experiments, cooking, exercise, music making, arts and crafts projects and many other enriching activities. They will have access to age appropriate toys, games, books, and music. Your child will be able to get the sleep they need in a safe, quiet room. When it comes to your child’s care and education, I do not spare any expense in making sure that I am prepared to offer the best in facilities, food, and fun!
Q: How will you insure the health and safety of my child?
A: I am dedicated to the health and safety of your child. Being a mom of young children myself, I am a self-confessed “germaphobe” and take great pride in the cleanliness of my house. Toys and furniture are sanitized and checked for safety at the end of every day, and my health and safety standards are based on the guidelines set forth by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Q: What licenses and certifications do you have?
A: I hold a degree in Elementary Education and have my Master's in Educational Technology. I am certified in Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid and have a current background check on file.
Q: Are parents allowed to visit their child during the day?
A: YES! I encourage parent involvement and welcome you to visit your little one at anytime. I also welcome feedback and ideas because I believe that parents who are involved in their children’s education and care make the world a better place for children and teachers alike.
